Joining is simple. Click Sign Up, select "I'm a PSW," and complete your profile. You'll need to provide your PSW certification details, a valid Vulnerable Sector Check, professional references, and proof of eligibility to work in Canada. Once your documents are verified (typically within 2-3 business days), your profile will go live and you can start accepting bookings.

What are the requirements to join?

To join carecoordin8, you must:

  • Hold a valid PSW certificate from an Ontario-recognized training program
  • Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check (less than 6 months old)
  • Have valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Provide at least two professional references
  • Have reliable transportation to travel to client locations
How much can I earn?

You set your own hourly rate on carecoordin8. Most PSWs on our platform charge between $22 and $35 per hour, depending on their experience, specializations, and location. How does payment work?

All payments are handled securely through the carecoordin8 platform. Clients pay after each completed visit, and your earnings are deposited directly into your bank account on a weekly basis (every Friday). You can track all your earnings, pending payments, and payment history in your PSW dashboard.

What is the platform fee?

carecoordin8 charges a 10% platform fee on each booking. This fee covers payment processing, insurance coverage, client matching, customer support, and platform maintenance. For example, if your hourly rate is $30, you'll receive $27 per hour after the platform fee. There are no sign-up fees, monthly fees, or hidden charges.

Can I set my own schedule?

Absolutely. You have full control over your availability. Set your working hours, choose which days you're available, block off vacation time, and accept or decline booking requests as they come in. Whether you want to work full-time, part-time, or just pick up a few shifts per week, carecoordin8 gives you the flexibility to build the schedule that works for your life.

Do I need insurance?

carecoordin8 provides basic liability coverage for all active PSWs on the platform during booked visits. However, we strongly recommend carrying your own professional liability insurance for additional protection. Several insurance providers offer affordable policies specifically for PSWs and personal care workers. Having your own coverage is a mark of professionalism that can help attract more clients.

How do I get more clients?

How do I handle cancellations?

If a client cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled visit, you'll receive a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booked hours. If you need to cancel a booking, please do so as early as possible through the platform. Frequent cancellations by PSWs may affect your profile rating and visibility in search results. If you have an emergency, contact our support team and we'll help notify the client and find a replacement if needed.
