You only pay when you book a session. carecoordin8 charges a small platform fee (10%) on top of the PSW's hourly rate, which covers secure payments, insurance support, and 24/7 customer service. All fees are displayed clearly before you confirm any booking.
Yes. Every PSW must provide proof of their Personal Support Worker certificate (or equivalent provincial credential) before their profile goes live. We also run criminal background checks through our trusted third-party partner. Verified badges on profiles indicate which checks have been completed.
You can cancel a booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a partial cancellation fee (typically one hour of the PSW's rate) to compensate the PSW for their time. Emergency cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis by our support team.
Absolutely. You can set up weekly, bi-weekly, or custom recurring bookings with any PSW from your dashboard. Recurring bookings are automatically confirmed each period, and you'll be notified if anything changes on the PSW's end. This is a great option for ongoing home care needs.
Your satisfaction matters. If a session doesn't meet expectations, contact our support team within 48 hours of the session end time. We'll review the situation and, where appropriate, issue a partial or full refund. Repeated complaints about a PSW result in a review of their profile and potential removal from the platform.

PSW FAQs
You must hold a valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a recognized Canadian institution, or an equivalent provincial qualification (such as HCA in British Columbia or CPCA in Quebec). You must also be legally authorized to work in Canada and be able to pass a criminal background check.
You set your own hourly rate. Most PSWs on carecoordin8 charge between $22–$38/hr. You keep 90% of every booking. PSWs working 25+ hours per week on the platform earn an average of $2,800/month. Your earnings grow as you build reviews and a strong profile.
No. PSWs on carecoordin8 are independent contractors, not employees. This means you have maximum flexibility — you choose when and how much you work. As a self-employed professional, you are responsible for your own income tax reporting. We provide an annual earnings summary to assist with this. We recommend consulting an accountant for personalized tax advice.
We respect your time. If a client cancels within 24 hours of the session, you receive a cancellation fee equal to one hour of your rate, paid automatically. If a client cancels within 2 hours or doesn't show up, you receive half your session rate. Our policy clearly communicates these terms to clients upfront to reduce last-minute cancellations.
Yes. Our support team is available 7 days a week via live chat and phone. In the event of a medical emergency, always call 911 first. For non-emergency incidents, document the situation and contact us immediately — we'll guide you through next steps. All bookings made through carecoordin8 also include liability protection coverage for incidents that occur during the session.
