2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, postal code, and password when you create an account.
- Profile Information: For PSWs: certifications, work experience, specializations, service area, hourly rate, photo, and references. For clients: care needs, preferred schedule, and location.
- Identity Verification: Government-issued identification and consent for criminal background checks (PSWs only).
- Payment Information: Credit or debit card details, bank account information for PSW payouts. Payment data is processed and stored by our PCI-compliant payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
- Communications: Messages exchanged between clients and PSWs through the Platform, as well as correspondence with our support team.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Usage Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address or postal code to match you with nearby PSWs.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to improve your experience and analyze usage patterns. See Section 8 for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account on the Platform.
- Match clients with qualified PSWs based on location, availability, and care needs.
- Process bookings, payments, and PSW payouts.
- Verify PSW credentials, certifications, and background check results.
- Facilitate communications between clients and PSWs.
- Send transactional emails and notifications related to bookings, payments, and account activity.
- Improve, maintain, and optimize the Platform and our services.
- Respond to support requests, inquiries, and disputes.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Send marketing communications where you have provided consent (you may opt out at any time).
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Between Users: When a booking is requested or confirmed, relevant profile information is shared between the client and the PSW to facilitate the care arrangement.
- Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us with payment processing, background checks, email delivery, cloud hosting, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of carecoordin8, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. After account deletion, we retain certain information for up to 7 years as required for tax, legal, and regulatory compliance. Background check results are retained for the duration of the PSW's active status on the Platform plus 2 years.
You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

As a user in Canada, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Complaint: You have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.
